From our Instructor Meghan...Meet Rosa!
This is Rosa Cox. She is mother to 3 wonderful children (all grow up) and is grandmother to sweet Liliana. Rosa joined us with Liliana in March of 2019. She has been a Stroller Strides regular ever since! She may not have little ones of her own anymore but she plays the roll of mother to all of our stroller kiddos! You can usually find Rosa at Mount Trashmore or City View Park snuggling babies before class. She loves to entertain our littles, holds them when our mamas need breaks, supports her children and each of our mamas every day, and all with the biggest smile! Rosa literally brightens my day every time I see her. She pushes herself in class and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She has come to know many of our mamas and kiddos as her own family. We absolutely love having Rosa in class. Her grandmother wisdom and youthful personality put even the most stressed out new mom at ease. We love you Rosa!
Tell us about your Family
1. How old are/is your little one? What do you like to do as a family?
My family started when my husband and I got married in California. Since then, we have moved to different places until 1994. Since then, Virginia beach has been our home. Ivan is 25, Dayna is 23, and Haley is 18, and my pride and joy, Liliana is 2. She is my granddaughter. When we all were together, we enjoyed traveling to different attractions in different states and international. We also loved to go camping and discover new places. We enjoyed dinners together.
2. What is your favorite part of motherhood? What one piece of advice would you give to a first time mom?
Watching my children grow and watching how they develop. Don't take any moment for granted. They grow so fast. You are never going to be a perfect parent, so don't beat yourself up, as long you do your best you will be ok.
3. How long have you been involved in FIT4MOM? What’s your favorite thing about it?
I have been a member since April. I love the workouts they are excellent and the instructors because they do not make you feel like a number. I also love the camaraderie of all of the mothers I wish I had this when my own kids were younger but now I can still enjoy it with my grand baby.
